My name is Wan Ling.
I'm leading a simple life with lovely friends and family around me.
I am the only child in the family. Some of you may think I'm pampered, but I'm actually just well taken care of.
I have a dog name Killy, which is a mixed breed - West Highland Terrier + Maltese.
My close friends who will always listen to all my ranting. (You know who you are) =)

hey guys!!! okay, there's 3 things i wanna say.first - sorry about my tag board. and i DID reply to ur tags!! it's just in the 'older messages'. sorry !! second - sorry for the late update. third - it's a long post!! 050307 - monday: reach Johannesburg international airport at bout 6+am (SA), 12+noon (SG). and on our way out, we met this porter. asking to change S$4 to R$20. we didn't have enough small cash so i said no. he followed me all the way and keep tapping me. omg!! i got scared out of my wits man. but lucky, nothing happened. lol. arrived at bout 12+pm (SA), 6+pm (SG) at Pietermaritzburg. and guess wad? our bags din follow us here. so we've to wait for another 2 hours+ before it arrived. meanwhile, we went to have lunch and some sight seeing. to the Valley of 1000 Hills and there's an area there where u can take the jeep and tour around there to see wild animals. =D it was fun but the weather is freaking hot when it's only 28 degrees. it's sunny there. damn sunny. i almost got burnt to death. grr... went to hotel and check in. [by this time, our bags are at the hotel already] hotel name - Golden Horse Casino. 060307 - tuesday: we went to Hulett's Plant (factory). to visit their Plate Plant to see how they make AL plates. very interesting. the interesting thing. once we enter the office, there's this plasma TV on the wall. look carefully again, we saw our names on it. lol. they were welcoming us by putting our names up there so that everybody who comes in will see it. omg!! hahaas. anyway, in the plant. i risked my 'life' by taking some photos in the plant when i'm not allowed to. lol. after visiting, they have meetings and meetings and meetings!! i almost died of boredness. was damn tired because of jet lag i guess. the worst is, i don't even understand what are they talking about. well, i tried to listen. i tried!! after that, went back to hotel for about 45 minutes. i tried the internet blar blar blar. didn't bathe cos auntie didn't leave enough time for me to. so went out for dinner. omg!! all western food. don't like it. but i don't have a choice. almost slept while eating. omg!! after that, went back to the hotel. tired!! 070307 - wednesday: went to Hulett again. but today worst!! omg! the whole day meetings meetings and still meetings. went to the plant for about 2 hour only. bored bored BORED!!! nothing special. went back hotel in the evening. this time, i bath first. only left with 20 minutes. wad the hell. just started bathing nia auntie was shouting outside for me to be quick. when i came out, she say i din give her time to bathe also. grr.. damn it lah. yesterday also wad. i didn't say anything also. waddever. after that, went out to eat. after that, went back to hotel. 080307 - thursday: morning, went to see Hulett's stockies. hmm.. kinda interesting. this time, i understand what are they talking about. =D maybe because it's simillar to our office de things bah. hahaas. after visiting, went to this underwater world - Ushaka. nice, but kinda scary. lol. cos we reach there first, so had to wait for the other car to reach. so went around and have a look. saw this bunch of black students coming out. so decided to take a photo with them. guess wad? omg! i was scared out of my wits! they all ran and cling onto me. omg! seriously, it's OMG! everyone of them is touching me everywhere. oh well, not everywhere, but.. grr.. okay, quickly snap a photo and wanted to get away. who noes, they all came up to me say another one. -.-" fine, another one. after photo taking, they all came and hug me. omg!! later they explained, cos there are not many chinese go there. so they were just 'checking' if we're 'real' by touching us all over. omg!! fine, after everything, went to have lunch. lunch was kinda interesting. it's in an old shipwreak. buffet style. same kinda food again. arh!! waddever. after having lunch, went to see the underwater world. nice. BIG fishes, BIG sharks, and BIG turtles. lol. after the underwater world, went to see seals and penguins. blar blar blar. had fun. =D went for dinner and went back to hotel to pack. 090307 - friday: woke up early to pack again. cos we're flying off to Johannesburg. waited downstairs for the Hulett guy to come pick us up. guess wad? he's late! and we're gonna be late for check in. oh dear. he called and ask us to take a cab there. so no choice loh. took cab to the airport. oh ya! i didn't say right? the domastic plane we ook was damn damn scary!! serious, not lying. it's so small that it could only hold up to 25 people. and it's ALWAYS over weight. omg! had a hard time flying on it. it's like sitting bus, or even worst den buses. i got so dizzy until i almost vomited. lucky it's over. phew! so, reached Johannesburg and we went to do some sight seeing. went to the gold mine and museum. well, kinda interesting. saw how difficult was it to dig for gold during the past. poor workers, whereas we are just looking for more and more gold. sigh. after that, went to hotel to check in. this time, i'm sleeping with SockKheng. lucky, save my ears from nonsense from her. anyway, rest for a little while, and went for dinner opposite our hotel. there's this BIG shopping centre opposite. so went there for a walk and dinner. after that, back to hotel and sleep! tired. oh ya! the hotel's bed is very comfortable. =D 100307 - saturday: went to this game reserve and hunt for animals. okay it works like this. u drive in urself and pay the enterance fees. after that, go into the place. it's a large piece of land. all natural. as in, there's lions, leopards, blar blar. all animals have to get their own food. like lions, they'll have to catch their own food if they're hungry. lol. interesting huh? after that, went to the African Market. bought quite a numbers of things. *happy* had fun bargaining. hahaas. it's not 'auntie' to bargain there. sometimes they give unreasonable prices. from R$300++ i can bargain until R$80+. can u believe it? imagine if i pay R$300++ for the thing when i can get it at R$80+. omg! shopping's done. went back to hotel. same, put our things and went opposite for dinner. had the same thing as yesterday. lol. no choice. after eating, went back hotel and sleep. 110307 - sunday: woke up early and went to Lion Park to look at lions. =D god! they're beautiful!! there's this 3 cubs in a 'locked up area' and they allow visitors to go in to touch them. lol. so we went in to try. hahaas. they're cute. very nice. took photos. =D after that, went to the gift shop. saw this cute keychains. animals keychains. so i bought 3. going back to the car when my auntie saw it. she say why not buy for all the kids. den i say okay loh. so i went back to choose. i chose, counted and make sure that every family has different animals. went back to the car and my auntie say she wanna choose. okay loh. let her choose. she choose le den i took out the ones i chose for my uncle's kids. den i counted again. there'll be a family getting 2 of the same kind. den i told her lah. noe wad she say? she say 'don't care lah. they're all big already should accept it.' i said i counted and choose all different type for all already. i asked kindly for a change so that it's fair to all. she say dowan. den she started saying that everytime we go overseas and buy things will always give her those that we dowan. WTH lah. she's always the one dowanna choose herself and now she push all the blame on us. pissed off and didn't talked to her for the rest of the day. after lion park, went to Lesedi Cultural Village [i think]. went to see all the different types of culture they have in Africa. interesting. well, i'm deeply in love with the beads bra they made themselves. =) but i didn't get one for myself. lol. wad for? as if i'll wear. haa. well, i think we went somewhere else. but i forgot. sorry. went back to hotel. same old routine. went opposite for dinner. same dinner again. wanted to buy cup noodles on our way back. but didn't manage to find, so too bad. 120307 - monday: today! went for city tour in Pretoria. hmm.. okay lah. kinda boring. but we managed to take lots of photos. after the tour, went back to the hotel early. cos we wanna go shopping and the shops closes at 7pm. well, uncle saw this nice long sleeves shirt and he bought 2. one for his wife. =D *sweet* i wanted to buy one for myself, one for father and one for mother. add up to 3. okay, it's not cheap but not really expensive. about S$80 per piece. was kind enough to ask auntie if she wanna buy. cos it's nice. den she said no. okay nvm. she keep nagging at me say that if i buy i must pay not company. i said i noe. den she say 'ur mummy won't like it de lah. buy le she also won't wear de. waste money.' she just kept nagging lah. wa lao! damn pissed off lah. she dowanna buy den forget it lah. say so many nonsense for wad? even if my mummy don't like the shirt, she'll be glad that i have the heart to buy her something right? grr... about the money, the most i pay lah. nv ask her to pay right. as if i'm using the company's money. keep nagging for wad. even if use company's money, why cannot? i'll just have to tell my grandfather that i really want the shirt and he'll buy me 10 of it lah. waddever lah. 130307 - tuesday: yea! woke up early. had maggie for breakfast. bought it yesterday. =) pack my stuff and prepare to go home!! at the airport, the tour guide keep saying he wanna keep me in Africa and find me a rich man to marry. den we share. hahaas. he has been saying since the second day of our trip. lol. he's a nice old man. =D reached Singapore on the 14th march 2007. cos of time difference. =D back home. `wanling* ps: S$1 = R$4.08 |
